This is the official blog of the Not A Cornfield project, a living sculpture in the form of a field of corn. The project is located just North of downtown Los Angeles on a large stretch of land well known as “The Cornfield.”

To everyone who tried to visit the Not A Cornfield project grounds Sunday, December 18 via Alameda and North Spring Streets, we apologize for the lack of advance notice about the street closing and required Broadway or Main Street detours. It turns out there was a most excellent skate board demo and free-of-charge punk rock concert happening on the city roads that day. Sponsored by a deck maker playing marketing Santa, $77,000 worth of product and music was distributed and played to thousands of mostly black-t-shirt-clad teens, as well as families and smaller kids. Just another example of the neighborhood's edge -- you never know what will happen at or around the Not A Cornfield grounds.
