This is the official blog of the Not A Cornfield project, a living sculpture in the form of a field of corn. The project is located just North of downtown Los Angeles on a large stretch of land well known as “The Cornfield.”

Volunteer Harvest Begins Thursday, Nov 17


Not A Cornfield's volunteer corn picking harvest begins Thursday, November 17 and will run through December 3.

From 7am-4pm daily, all interested community members are invited to participate in picking corn. All ages are welcome.

Appropriate clothing includes: long pants and shirts, work shoes or boots, bandanas, hats, gloves, and sunscreen.*

6pm Sunday Start Time for "Farmer John" Screening

For all those coming Sunday, November 13, 2005 to Not A Cornfield to attend the screening of the documentary film, "The Real Dirt on Farmer John," please be advised that the screening begins at 6pm.
A live musical performance follows immediately afterward.

As with all Not A Cornfield programs, there is no charge to attend.

Also, regular Sundays @ Not A Cornfield site-specific activities and drum circle began, per usual, at 3pm.

The Not A Cornfield art project grounds are open beginning at 6am, until the conclusion of the evening program.
