Corn Reaches Six-Foot Mark
While the growth of the Not A Cornfield cornfield remains staggered, stalks in select parts of the 32-acre art project have now attained a height of six feet.
Not A Cornfield Junior Docents report locating each other among the furrows thanks to the tall straw hats they often wear while working. During Friday Nights @ Not A Cornfield events, the docents offer attendees small lanterns to further help newcomers navigate the field, particularly when the moon is new. The art project’s main interior walking path, which bisects the field from north to south and offers a view of the downtown skyline, is already illuminated by solar lanterns.
